So the journey begins anew ....

As most of you know , I started out life as a Monk . It seems it's always back to this life (job) that i always turn . I've leveled a few other jobs . Warrior to 33 (need to get 37) so I'd have a solid sub for a good part of my career . A short lived job as a Paladin , Samurai , Ranger and Thief . It was my intentions at the start to some day become a Dragoon , even before i found out I'd have a sidekick in the form of a wyvern . I got that one to 16 ..... I won't get into the ins and outs of why I left that job ..... another time maybe .

One day I was looking for a party , and waiting . and waiting ... you get the idea .

I said hell I'll just become a tank !! So I played Warrior for a lil bit , then jumped to Ninja . A solid job (some may argue) I liked it , and got it to lvl 21 my 3rd highest lvl job ! And there I was contenting myself with the life of a blink tank (one I may return to in the future) when I get this invite to a PT and I'm not the tank . It's some galkan monk with war sub of lvl 5 . /boggle ... I say could you mind voking of me between casts ? I was informed by the PT that galkans always tank ... I made it out to be more of what it was really .... But it struck me as strange .. I worked my ass off to get some good EVA gear and spent gil on lots of ninja tools for the Honor no the Privilige to tank for a PT and hope to make a good one ... It was a slap in my face ......... hehe I got sidetracked ......

So there we have it up to this point .....

I turned my back on tanking and took up my knuckles again , in hopes to prove myself a great monk and that an elvann can and will make a good monk (not that that has ever been doubted )

(narrative) Clede returned home in a disheveled state of mind . Lost in thought and in spirit . His lil moogle friend could offer no comfort it seemed .....Until with a lil smile the moogle tossed a set of worn old knuckles into his hands . They were stained with the scares of many battles and a series of marks set along the grips .(counting the vanquished foes?) Clede walked over to the practice dummy in the corner and started his old workout . Hmm so this is what I've been missing . he says to himself .

Guys and gals , I've news of your ever faithful (monk?).

I've decided to remake myself int o a galkan . Yes that's right fols , a galkan . My new name is Galkanprime , please feel free to look me up . Now I know what you all are thinking . He's joking , he's not serious ! Well I am serious , so much so that i transfered gear to the Galkan god of tanking (I like to call myself that now) and have deleted Clede ( let's just say that name does'nt mean squat not even sure how to go about pronouncing it , Cl Ed e ? or hehe lets just call me Spike ^^ )

But anywas the handsome redhead with spiky hair is dead . /cry I know i'll have to everything over . But it won't be that big a deal reall . I'll only need to get War to lvl 5 for voke take monk to 30 do the PLD quest and I'm there ! boom ! The world needs tanks ! And the world needs Galkan tanks !

'Cuz we're the only ones that can ALWAYS tank !

Well , I've been lvling Ninja for a bit now . I'm 500 exp from lvl 21 . I find i am starting to like the job the more i play it . That may change when i really start blasting threw shihie . But so far ... It's not half bad . Having a good PT is nice, so far i've been pretty lucky .

We'll see how far I take this job . So far it's been pretty challenging . I like that . That's all I can think of tonite . I had to log early because I'm just to tired to keep playing FFXI this evening work kicked my ass today . So it's off to bed with me ! and my apologies to everyone I know we had a BCNM or 2 in the works but I'm tuckered out .

Well the hurricane completly skipped Louisiana , well N.O. got some rain but we did'nt get anything not even rain :) So I'm ok my house is ok and well that pretty much covers it . See you ingame and thanks for your kindly conscernes ^^

Well I was able to log in (finaly) last nite sometime late in the eve. So I guess I'll be playing for awhile longer ^^

But .....tonite I get my copy of Fable the longawaited game of .....well I don't know yet . So you may not see me for a few days . Ontop of that we have hurricane Ivan heading our way . I doubt we get much more than heavy rains and winds (crosses fingers) but it may knock out power and god knows what else . The predicted path has it grazing ny N.O. La. which isn't very far from me after all . I'll be in the northeastern part of the hurricane the worse part I think not sure tho but hopefully far enough inland to only experience minor inconviences . Let's hope eh ... anyways I'll see you in game sometime sooner or later unless of course my house just happens to fall down on me crushing and killing me ..............

what the fuck ?!?! i've been disconnected i don't know how many times trying to run the update ... this is really pissing me off !!! godamn !!! what a mess it is ......

i'm going to try a few more times but i'm sure i'll have the same results.... if this keeps up i won't be playing much longer . stooopid updates !!!!!!!

blog time !

I've been wandering around and learning where a few neat things are and checking out places i have'nt really been the last few days . lvling those odd jobs i am interested in and trying my best to clean up my moghouse .. to no avail really .

I finaly got myself a copy of utsusemi:ichi for ninja woohoo !! but soon decided i need lots of cash and not for the shihie . for the + evasion gear i want so as to have a better chance of dadging an attack thus saving a shadow .. so ninja is on hold yet again hehe

back to monk i go !

not much else really to blog about ... still working on the story of Clede part 2 . maybe /wink

anyways that sums it up nothing really ewxciting to report /sigh

Well I got booted from FFXI and couldnt re-connect . So I do what I always do and read up on news or whatever before bed . I found out the Julia Child died today , I never really realised how old she was cuz she was always full of life and passion . I'm a cook , I think I may have mentioned this in passing . I went to culinary school and worked with a few Chefs around the town I live in . I've always liked her show even though I often parodied her in my own way I had a good deal of respect for her . I am sadden by this loss for some reason I cannot fully articulate and have no idea why I bother to blog about it . Further proof of a passing age I suppose .

I'll say this about Mrs. Julia Child , she was a great woman ( or person even if you are so inclined ) . She helped many , myself included to understand french haute cuisine was'nt all that fancy . It was just cooking . And maybe the more important lesson that food should be shared and always be prepared for friends . A smile , a laugh and good conversation among friends over a bottle of wine . Good stuff I say !

Join me if you will in a toast to a lost hero of modern cooking .

Well , no story this time . Sorry .

It's been a lil while since i posted so i thought I'd update my ramblings . I finaly unlocked Dragoon and spent a euphoric 11 lvls before i decided the job was'nt really for me . Heading closer to 12 the magic dimmed and I realised that this job isn't the same job i loved in tactics . So I moved on . I know only have 2 jobs left to unlock Samurai and Summoner . So that's 2 things I can check off my list of things I wanted to do in this game .

I spent the last 2 days farming yaguda necklaces and with Eruntalons help ( many thanks again ) I inched ever closer to the right amount of Norg fame . Finaly I broke down and bought an ass load of zinc ores and was able to get my fame high enough for the ninja scroll quests . With Tonko ichi and Utsusemi ichi in hand I was how you say ready to lvl ninja past 8 at long last .

But here's the catch haha ! I'm not sure if I want to lvl ninja anymore the high cost of the job is a lil scary , all those ninja tools . As some of you know if I play a job it's all out ! I'm going to try my best to be the best I can be . /shrug I'm thinking I may just sell the scrolls and put the funds toward my uber monk fund . i.e. the lvl 40 crunch (evil foreboding music plays) Yes ! I need Ochiudos kotes at lvl 34 !! 500k ouch ! this of course ties into me being the best I can be . lol don't get me wrong i can live without them but I want 'em for my monk :)

Right now I have 2 jobs at lvl 32 WAR and MNK . 2 jobs I actually kinda like to play . I plan on taking WAR to lvl 37 before retiring from the job . But the hefty wieght of my Great Axe is a comfort . I had thought to lvl ninja for a sub dual wielding axes would have been cool .. not so sure now . And if i take it WAR to 75 it will most likely ne with a Gaxe strapped across my back . and the Artifact armor is neat red !! like my hair :) Or I'll lvl monk to 75 .. Another fine job that's unerrated . Who knows I am at the mercy of my many whims and fancies . Time will tell . see you in game .
